Job Summary: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will provide essential care and support to individuals with disabilities, helping them lead fulfilling lives. Responsibilities: - Assist individuals with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management - Provide emotional support and companionship to individuals - Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behaviors - Support individuals in participating in social and recreational activities - Monitor and document individual progress and behavior - Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals at all times - Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to develop and implement care plans - Adhere to HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of sensitive information Requirements: - High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require additional education or certification) - Previous experience in caregiving, nursing, or social work is preferred - Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Patience, empathy, and compassion for individuals with disabilities - Ability to effectively manage challenging behaviors - Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays Note: All positions must be paid including internship positions.
